No. 83: Spotted Salamander III Watercolor
The spotted salamander is quite common in Missouri but rarely seen. Measuring from 4 to 8 inches in length, these beautiful secretive creatures breed in the spring in temporary or "ephemeral" ponds lacking predators like fish who feed on their eggs. This original watercolor measures 8" x 11" surrounded by a 11" x 14" cream-colored matboard. It sells for $135 which includes shipping.
