No. 96: Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly Watercolor
The pipevine swallowtail butterfly is so named because its larvae feed off of the pipevine, or Dutchman's pipe, plant. It's forewings are black (which shimmer as iridescent purple) and blue hindwings (which shimmer as turquoise). This original watercolor is 14"x20" surrounded by an ecru-colored 18"x24" matboard. It sells for $500 which includes shipping. To learn more about this painting, please contact me at cajuntom55@gmail.com. Enjoy.
