No. 82: Pileated Woodpecker IV Watercolor

This handsome and noisy woodpecker occupies a nest in the woods behind my house.  Known by its maniacal call, it is the inspiration for the cartoon character "Woody the Woodpecker". The word pileated comes from the Latin "pileatus" meaning "capped".  This original watercolor measures 12" x 16" surrounded by a creme-colored 16" x 20" matboard.  It sells for $225 which includes shipping.  To learn more about this painting, please contact me at cajuntom55@gmail.com.  Enjoy.
